A Heart warming Note of Encouragement!

Did you know there are over 900 different names and titles for God in the Bible?

Did you ever wonder why God would have so many names? I did! The revelation was not only mind blowing, but heart warming!

The Answer: Because My people have so many needs and "I Am" the fulfillment of every one of them!

The name “I Am” also expresses the “present” reality of God. “He is” and “we are” never a moment without His presence. May that give you fresh insight of His promise to never leave you nor forsake you! (Hebrews13:5)

The Lord reveals the quality and uniqueness of His divine nature and character through each and every name. As we study and dwell upon His names our hearts are enlarged with a greater understanding of His power and love toward us, which enhances our sense of trust, tranquility and ultimately our joy!

So then, let's take a deeper look at a few names of God to fill our hearts with joy and wonder!

Among the names of God, ”Elohim” is the first name to be revealed (Genesis 1:1). In this name we find "Almighty God," as the One Who has His hand on everything! It not only reveals His creative goodness, but also His triune nature that identifies the relationship He has within the Godhead and with everything He has created. God did not send His Son Jesus into the world to start a religion but to restore our relationship with Him. He died to have one with you!

”Jehovah” is the name that identifies His self-existence, eternal and unchangeable essence. In the fullness of time, He has made a full and final revelation of Himself in Jesus Christ. In Exodus 33, Moses saw His back-parts as God let all His goodness pass before him. But now, we have seen "the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ!" (2 Corinthians 4:6). If you want to know who God is, get to know Jesus! He walked among us and we beheld His glory (John 1:14), now He ever lives to intercede for you! (Romans 8:35)

And the most beloved “Jehovah-Rohi” means The Lord is My Shepherd, who protects and cares for His people. It's nice to think of the Lord as a Shepherd, but it is life changing to know Him as "MY" Shepherd! What do we have to fear? You are in the Shepherds protective custody!

God is so amazing, so complex, so vast, that one name can't describe Him! These are just a small fraction of the names of God and yet how glorious the revelations are! Call upon His name! You have the captive audience of Jehovah!

“If Jehovah be our God, what can we desire which we may not be sure to find in Him? He is neither fickle nor false, neither weak, nor mortal: He is God and not man, therefore there is no danger of being disappointed in Him.”
