No matter where we are, we are there for a purpose, whether we are sitting in a doctor’s office or sitting next to our brothers and sisters in church.
Wherever the Lord has us, that is our place of sitting at His feet like Mary. Before we can go when and where He will send us, first we must sit with Him (a tithing of our time).
With Him, we are filled afresh with His love, His mercies, His grace, and His instructions.
As much as we love that time with Him, He loves the time with us even more, for He is our Shepherd who is acquainted with our need for Him!
By looking at Him, we can be joyful in all our sufferings: upon the cross He suffered, only a few hours, and then He was home.
We suffer in this world BUT it's only a few hours!
Looking at Him, we are reminded that whatever we endure, there is a greater and more beautiful purpose because He is with us in it and through it. We are not alone.
Our Heavenly Father,
left JESUS alone on the cross.
Only for a few hours,
BUT that was so devastating!
We are never alone! Never.
We can ALWAYS REJOICE!
Then, we walk each moment in obedience to His gentle, still, small voice saying go here or there - I am with you.
