Easter Resources

Easter Resources

As we look ahead to the coming weeks and make preparations to gather with friends and family, plan the menu and fun activities for the children or grandchildren, we would be remiss if we did not prepare our hearts as well. We pray you are blessed and encouraged by the following resources!

The Best Easter – Bunny rabbits? Candy? New dresses and bonnets? Is that what Easter is about? In this story, The Best Easter, written by Jeremy Pulley (at age 9), join Eustice as he teaches his classmates the true meaning of Easter. It is our prayer that as you and your family read the experiences of Tommy, Suzie, Johnny, and Eustice, that you, too, would marvel afresh at the significance of the Easter season, as told through the eyes of a child. Messages

Your Pain Has a Purpose – Join Karen for a special message as she considers lessons from the life of Mary, the mother of Jesus. While Mary surely felt pain as she stood by the cross, we know He turned her sorrow into her song, just as He does ours.

The Resurrection – In this message, Karen dives into the glorious truths set forth for us in 1 Corinthians 15.

Reading and Devotional Plans

Journey With Jesus Through Passion Week: An Easter Reading and Listening Plan – As we reflect on a few select passages recorded in the Bible from the last week of Jesus’s earthly life, we can’t help but praise and worship our Savior with heartfelt gratitude for all He has done. Also included is a two-part series by Cara Blondo entitled, “How Much More: Lessons From the Crucifixion.”

Glimpses of the Journey (A YouVersion Devotional Plan) – Through this 7 day plan written by Cara Blondo, we posture our hearts to praise Him for what He has done, marvel at His gift of salvation, and remember how much He loves and cares for His children.

The First Easter: A Journey to the Empty Tomb (A YouVersion Devotional Plan) – The historical events recorded in John 18–20 provide a vivid account of the first Easter. In this eight-day plan, Alistair Begg considers the meaning and relevance behind events like Jesus Christ’s surrender in Gethsemane, His death on a cross, and the empty tomb that He left behind.
